Орша собрала более 40 участников из Беларуси и России на XI Республиканскую выставку-ярмарку «ЗдорОво живешь»
Issues of interregional cooperation in the field of medicine and sports, diseases of the 21st century, medical examinations of children and youth, and the implementation of relevant health-saving programs and plans are being discussed these days at the International Forum for a Healthy Lifestyle and the XI Republican Universal Exhibition-Fair "ZdorOvo zhivesh", which are taking place at the Ice Arena in Orsha.

This year, the Republican Universal Exhibition-Fair "ZdorOvo zhivesh" has gathered more than 40 participants from different regions of Belarus and Russia. Here you can see food products, sports and casual wear, sports equipment, water filters, sewing products made of natural fabrics, orthopedic shoes, natural cosmetics, and medicinal herbs – goods related to a healthy lifestyle. Industrial enterprises (including the food industry) are widely represented, demonstrating their achievements in preventive and therapeutic nutrition, and new health-saving techniques. Many people are eager to consult with narrow specialists: an endocrinologist, a psychologist, an oncologist, an ophthalmologist. At the locations, guests are offered to undergo ultrasound of the thyroid gland and heart, ECG examination, measure arterial and intraocular pressure, blood glucose levels, etc. Medical conferences on various topics are held in parallel.

It is noteworthy that this year the organizers of the festival are paying special attention to youth.

– The future of the country lies with healthy youth. Engaging young men and women in the volunteer movement, training in the "Peer Educates Peer" format, where motivated and purposeful young people tell their peers about the value of a healthy lifestyle. This practice is becoming more widespread, – noted Vladimir Sinkevich, Chief Sanitary Doctor of the Vitebsk region. – Our state is socially oriented. And this is felt by every resident of the country, region, and locality, even in the current difficult conditions. The individual remains the focus. One of the fundamental needs is health. Therefore, the current forum is important not only for the residents of the Orsha region; it allows for the formation and support of the population's commitment to a healthy lifestyle. Much is being done in our region and in the country as a whole to strengthen people's health; state programs and plans are being implemented in this direction. New healthcare facilities, sports facilities, and educational institutions are being commissioned, and existing ones are being reconstructed and brought into line with modern requirements. Significant work is being carried out at industrial and agricultural enterprises. Working conditions are improving, which also contributes to strengthening people's health. However, everyone must also understand the importance of preserving their own health.

Along with specialists from the Vitebsk State Medical University, colleagues from the Russian Federation took part in medical conferences.

– Such events, which are held on a traditional basis, are extremely important; they embody the health preservation of the nation, – emphasized Anna Krikova, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Smolensk State Medical University. – We always attend the forum with the aim of sharing and adopting experience with our Belarusian colleagues. We came to share the experience of a federal innovation platform. We would like our Belarusian colleagues to join us. The innovation project is called "First-year student's health – doctor's health – nation's health." The first block includes examinations of first-year students – we identify target problem groups in terms of health, and then mentors and doctors work with these groups. Ultimately, we want to see how the health of our students has improved.

Alexey Dyagel, Chief Physician of the Orsha Zonal Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology, spoke during the business part of the forum. Inna Krachek, Deputy Chief Physician for Ideological Work at the Healthcare Institution "Orsha Central Polyclinic," spoke about the development of healthcare in the Orsha region, and Elena Filimonova, Chief Physician of the institution, spoke about the role of the Orsha Regional Sports Medicine Dispensary in organizing a healthy lifestyle.

During the forum, interactive platforms and exhibitions, including those of a military-patriotic nature, were operating at the sports facility. Educational institutions of Orsha, military-patriotic clubs, and museums will present their work.

The International Forum for a Healthy Lifestyle and the XI Republican Universal Exhibition Fair "ZdorOvo zhivesh" will conclude their work on June 22.
