Orsha-based company "Svitanak" tripled its export of garment products to Russia in January-July
August 13, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Closed Joint Stock Company "Orsha Industrial and Trade Firm "Svitanak" (CJSC OITF) increased exports of garment products to the Russian Federation threefold in the first seven months of the current year compared to January-July last year, Deputy Director of the enterprise Valery Shestakov told a BELTA correspondent.
In January-July, the enterprise shipped almost 13,000 units of products worth Br746.5 million to Russian consumers, while 16,000 items were exported to the neighboring country for the entire year 2008. More than 80% of sales are made through its own trading house "Artus" in Moscow. The sales growth rate for seven months compared to January-July last year was 125%, reaching 62.6 thousand units for a total amount of Br3.3 billion.
As Valery Shestakov noted, along with the development of its own sales network, the company's marketers consider cooperation with private businesses as a key strategic direction. Specialists visited major shopping centers and markets, and not only offered individual entrepreneurs brochures with their products but also invited them to the enterprise to get acquainted with the production and new collections. All "Svitanak" products are certified, including in accordance with the ISO 9001-2000 standard. This is as important for private traders as it is for state-owned enterprises. The first agreements have already been concluded with entrepreneurs from Vitebsk, Gomel, and the Mogilev region.
According to the deputy director, all warehouse stocks at the enterprise are predictable and determined by the seasonal specifics of production. Before the season, the entire collection is presented in full size range in warehouses for the convenience of trade. Thus, sellers have a wide choice. The assortment renewal rate at the firm is almost 100%. A new "Spring-2010" collection will be launched into production as early as autumn, and work on the "Summer-2010" collection of linen and cotton products is currently being completed.
CJSC OITF "Svitanak" specializes in the production of children's and teenagers' outerwear, including jackets, coats, overalls, and raincoats. The enterprise owns the "Artus" trademark. In July, the enterprise sold products worth Br1.1 billion.
