The Orsha company has started producing electric charging stations and will build cars

Оршанская компания начала выпуск электрозарядных станций и будет строить автомобили
In the Vitebsk region, there are currently about 150 electric vehicles. In the country, there are more than 10,000. Considering that the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant is gaining momentum, these figures will grow in the coming years, is confident Alexander Kireev, head of the Orsha-based company "E-Power" LLC. The popularity of electric transport is facilitated by state policy to stimulate demand for it, create charging infrastructure, and conditions for the development of production of such equipment and automotive components. Recently, the company received a certificate for the production of charging stations.

State Support as a Stimulus

— If there were no state support, — notes Alexander Vladimirovich, — we would hardly have decided to bet on business development in this particular direction. But today, we have a green light. The popularity of electric transport may not be very high yet, but one thing is clear: as soon as a sufficiently developed infrastructure for its use appears, the number of people wishing to purchase an electric vehicle will immediately increase.

The company director is confident that it is necessary to start precisely with charging stations. If a car enthusiast sees one in the parking lot at home or in a garage cooperative, it is possible that they will consider buying one.

— We recently traveled to Minsk by electric car, — Sergey Khudoleev, deputy director of the Orsha Business Incubator "Law and Order," under the auspices of which "E-Power" operates, joins the conversation. — Do you know how much the trip cost? 7 rubles. So the benefit is obvious.

Alexander Kireev introduces the background of the company's creation. They started with the sale of charging stations of Chinese production. They established close contacts with manufacturers from China, thoroughly mastered the technology, and became acquainted with the experience of other countries. They began to create and test their own equipment samples. They succeeded. They designed a convenient anti-vandal design and developed a line of slow chargers — for installation in yard areas, in private and public garages.

Online Map to Help

— In parallel with research and development work, close interaction with construction departments, designers of residential microdistricts, and developers, our specialists began creating— an interactive map for monitoring requests for the installation of electric charging stations and smartphone applications for their management, — says the interlocutor. — And in the first months of this map's operation, we realized that the demand is very high.

Interestingly, car enthusiasts and any manufacturers of electric charging stations can use the information from such an online monitoring system, organized by the Orsha enterprise, in Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and other countries. With the help of the interactive platform, it is possible to calculate mileage and find the nearest charging station for a car, and determine the most convenient and economically viable locations for future equipment installation.

— Aren't you afraid of competition? — I ask Alexander Kireev.

— Today, we have a huge field of activity, and there is enough space and tasks for everyone, — the head of the company has no doubt. — So any cooperation in this regard is beneficial. And only all together, by uniting, can we fill the existing vacuum.

From China to Belarus

In less than two years, the enterprise has moved from trade and intermediary activities to production. The first step was the production of combined fast and super-fast electric charging stations designed for various types of cars. Based on the developments of the Orsha residents and at their request, the equipment under the Belarusian brand was put into production at one of the Chinese factories. A Eurasian Declaration of Conformity has been obtained.

— We will soon move production to Belarus; the necessary documentation is currently being processed. The business incubator and the Orsha branch of the Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry are helping us with this, — says Alexander Kireev. — Now, following the established path, it is easier to do this: a month ago, we received a certificate for the production of our own line of slow electric chargers. The firsThe first batch of equipment has already gone to customers. A solid order portfolio has been assembled. Our stations are awaited in Moscow and the Moscow region, Krasnodar, and St. Petersburg. By the way, do you know how many electric charging stations are installed in Russia monthly? About a thousand units! So, there is demand, and it will only increase in the coming years.
Electric charging stations from Orsha are already operating at VDNKh in Moscow, about 50 units are installed in Minsk, and they are also present in Vitebsk and Orsha. A large order for manufacturing has come from Tyumen, and Kyrgyzstan is interested in the products.
Alexander KIREEV: "We studied the market and realized that our factories can do a lot in terms of import substitution."

Currently, about 50 percent of the work and components of the Orsha-based company's products are of Belarusian origin. However, options have already been found to increase the share of domestic contribution to the added value.

— We studied the market and realized that our factories can do a lot in terms of import substitution, and we are already concluding relevant contracts, — shares the plans of the Director of "E-Power" LLC.

The company intends to involve Belarusian partners in the implementation of another know-how, which can be considered a historical breakthrough in its history. They are already starting the development and organization of the production of their own electric truck. The plan is to use a small-sized vehicle for farmers, utility companies, and other service organizations.

Over the year, the company has quadrupled the number of jobs and can produce up to 200 electric charging stations per month. If necessary, production capacities and volumes will be expanded. In February, employees will undergo advanced training courses at Chinese enterprises. With the support of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, it is planned to create new jobs and obtain preferential loans for the further development of this promising production for Belarus.

Sergey PATS, First Deputy Chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee:

— The "E-Power" company is a new step in our economy. Today, everything related to electric transport is very promising. This is already shown by the demand for Belarusian charging stations. We hope that everything planned in terms of mechanical engineering will also be implemented. Local authorities have supported and will continue to support enterprises of any form of ownership in implementing their initiatives that are beneficial to the city and the country.
