Ukrainian JSC "Motor Sich", which has located the production of rotorcraft at the Belarusian enterprise, is currently negotiating with potential customers on promoting aviation equipment in this regional market. This is reported by the press service of the Ukrainian manufacturer following the international air show "Dubai Air Show-2013", which ended on November 21.
The Middle East market is considered among the main ones for these helicopters. According to experts, the re-engined versions of the Soviet multipurpose Mi-8T and Mi-2 _ Mi-8MSB and Mi-2MSB1, modernized by "Motor Sich" at the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant, have good market prospects: the new turboshaft engine of increased power installed on the machines has a 30% increased operational life. They were created to operate at high temperatures - up to 50-55 degrees - and in mountainous conditions. As previously stated by the manufacturer, it is planned to produce 20 Mi-8MSB helicopters in Orsha in 2014.
