Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant increased export of services by 12 times in January-June

July 29, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The Republican Unitary Enterprise "Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant" increased its export of services by 12 times in January-June this year compared to the same period last year, Vladimir Troitsky, the plant's director, told a BELTA correspondent. The significant export growth is due to the demand for helicopter maintenance. Currently, the enterprise operates not only in the European market, where long-term partnerships have been established, but also gains recognition as a reliable partner on the African continent and in North America. For example, a mobile team of Orsha aircraft repair specialists is working in Mexico, repairing helicopters for the Mexican Gendarmerie. This year, the enterprise has already signed contracts for work totaling Br52 billion, which is 3 times higher than last year's figure. Along with the repair of Mi-8, Mi-24 helicopters and their modifications, the enterprise has mastered the repair of unmanned aerial vehicles for the first time and is also working on certifying its own production of aircraft and other equipment. The Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant was established in 1941. Currently, the RUP is undergoing corporatization. The plant holds a certificate from the Aviation Register of the Interstate Aviation Committee, which certifies the compliance of the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant with the requirements of aviation rules, standards, and ICAO recommendations, ISO 9000 international standards, as well as JAR-145 and EAR-145 rules. In addition, the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant has a certificate of the Russian Federal Aviation Rules FAP-145R for the right to perform major repairs of the Mi-8 helicopter.
