After modernization, the Orsha Linen Mill will produce twice as much fabric

Approximately 300 billion rubles have been invested in the modernization of Factory No. 3 of the Orsha Flax Combine. Production facilities have been updated, and 356 units of new equipment have been installed. Commissioning and adjustment operations have been completed, and the machinery has successfully passed testing.

Flax carding machines have been replaced, and 6 units of new equipment of Chinese production have been installed. This significantly improves the quality of the carded sliver. The reconstruction of the weaving production, including the replacement of existing equipment, has been fully completed. 170 Belgian-made looms are operating at high productivity. Yarn dryers have been replaced, and this technological process is now carried out using new Italian equipment. RVK winding machines have been replaced by automatic machines from Italy. New warping and sizing machines of German production have already proven themselves in operation. Modern automatic ventilation systems in the workshops can regulate temperature and humidity in accordance with standards.

In other words, the technical re-equipment of the factory has led to improved quality, an expanded and updated range of linen fabrics and products made from them, while simultaneously reducing costs. Previously, the factory produced about 400,000 linear meters of fabric monthly; now, production capacities will allow for an increase in volume to 750,000. The prospects are clear: productivity will increase by almost 2 times, and the processing of flax fiber in quantitative terms will increase by 1.5 times.

A decision has been made to reconstruct Factory No. 2 of the Orsha Flax Combine, where the dismantling of old looms has already begun. The third stage will require, according to preliminary estimates, over 37 million euros.
