The Orsha Linen Mill invested Br9.3 billion in fixed assets in January-August.
September 23, Orsha / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The Orsha Flax Mill invested Br9.3 billion in fixed assets in January-August this year, the republican unitary production and trade enterprise (RUPTP) "Orsha Flax Mill" informed a BELTA correspondent.
The enterprise has been implementing a program for the technical re-equipment of all four factories that are part of the mill since 2007.
At this stage, commissioning and setup work is nearing completion at Factory No. 1. A flax fiber cottonization line produced by German and Swiss companies, a spinning and spinning preparation equipment complex of Swiss production, as well as modern weaving equipment have been installed here. The total cost of the project is estimated at Br21.9 billion. Its implementation will allow for the production of high-count linen yarns from short fiber, which are 15% cheaper than similar yarns from long fiber. According to forecasts, the annual processing volume at the updated factory will be 5.3 thousand tons of flax fiber, and the production of 0.7 million linear meters of fabric is also possible. For the first time, the enterprise will be able to produce canvas and denim-type fabrics from flax fiber. The economic effect from the development of new types of products is expected to be Br2 billion per year.
During the implementation of the mill's technical re-equipment project, Br53 billion has been directed towards the renewal of fixed assets.
The Orsha Flax Mill was founded in 1930. The enterprise includes Factory No. 1, Factory No. 2, Factory No. 3, and the Finishing Factory. About 6,000 people work at the enterprise. For 8 months of this year, the growth rate of production volumes compared to the same period last year was 82.6%, and the production profitability was minus 5.1%. -0-
