The Orsha Meat Canning Plant increased its product output by almost 15% in January-October
November 18, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. The Orsha Meat Canning Plant has updated its product output in January-October by almost 15%. This was announced to a BELTA correspondent by the deputy director of the enterprise, Alexander Antonov, at the exhibition "Vitebsk Region - for a Healthy Lifestyle!", which opened today in Vitebsk.
Among the new products this year are sausages for baby food enriched with a vitamin complex, smoked pork and beef products, and new types of semi-finished products. This also includes a line of meat products made from natural ingredients without artificial E-additives, which includes top-grade boiled and smoked sausages, and frankfurters. In the near future, this group will be replenished with smoked sausage, a range of canned goods, and semi-finished products, said Alexander Antonov, noting that the development of these new products was carried out by the enterprise's technologists in close cooperation with Belarusian scientists and spice suppliers. The quality and taste of the products in this group are not inferior to meat products with E-additives, and the shelf life is also extended due to the use of modern polyamide casings.
The enterprise pays significant attention to the development of baby food. The latest new product for the youngest consumers is canned meat with lamb, intended for babies prone to allergies. For this purpose, documents are already being prepared for the production of canned ostrich meat. In addition, the enterprise is currently implementing a large investment project to double the capacity of baby food production.
The plant operated profitably for ten months and produced products worth Br120.5 billion, or 106.2% of the same period in 2009. The energy saving indicator is minus 9.2%. Export supplies worth $5.6 million in January-October were carried out to Russia, Ukraine, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. The labor productivity growth rate for this period was 106.7%, and the share of new product types in the total production volume was about 15%.
The enterprise was founded in 1930. It specializes in the production of canned meat and sausages. Baby food preserves account for over 22% of the product mix. The range of products manufactured includes more than 400 items, including about 100 types of baby food preserves. The average number of employees is 1.1 thousand people. -0-
