The Orsha Meat Canning Plant has mastered the production of 7 new types of baby food this year
November 27, Minsk /Tatyana Lobas - BELTA/. The Orsha Meat Canning Plant has mastered the production of 7 new types of products for baby food this year, the plant's chief technologist Lyudmila Zazybo told a BELTA correspondent.
Among the new products are lamb preserves, poultry meat preserves, and pork puree. According to the chief technologist, the plant continues to produce baby food preserves from rabbit meat, turkey, chicken, horse meat, rabbit and turkey meat with tongue, heart, liver, rabbit meat with beef and oatmeal, and chicken and rabbit meat puree this year.
Rabbit meat is considered a dietary and delicacy product in terms of protein content and juiciness. It ranks among the top in terms of digestibility among other types of meat, is rich in minerals, B vitamins, PP, and most importantly, is hypoallergenic, which is important for baby food. Turkey meat is also one of the most valuable protein products, has high dietary and taste properties, is rich in B vitamins, and has the lowest cholesterol content.
The enterprise also produces fish and vegetable preserves for baby food based on fillets of valuable fish - pink salmon, trout, cod, salmon, and also products enriched with lactulose, iodine (with kelp powder). In general, the range of baby food products includes over 70 items. Only meat from young animals grown on Belarusian farms using special technology without growth stimulants, hormonal drugs, and tetracycline, penicillin, and streptomycin antibiotics is used for the production of preserves. Only chilled raw materials are used, which, unlike frozen ones, fully preserve all vitamins and microelements.
The products of the Orsha Meat Canning Plant are in stable demand in domestic and foreign markets; they do not accumulate in warehouses, except for those that, for technological and medical reasons, must undergo a certain holding period (21 days) after production.
The Orsha Meat Canning Plant was founded in 1929. It produces canned meat, traditional meat products, and fish products. In 1980, the plant was the first in the Soviet Union to organize the production of baby meat preserves ("Malysh", "Yazyzhok", etc.). In 1999, a new baby food canning workshop was commissioned. New imported equipment was installed. Currently, the enterprise is a diversified processing complex. The plant employs 1226 people, including 115 in the baby food workshop. -0-
