Orsha Dairy Plant allocated Br12 billion for the reconstruction of the compressor workshop.

August 18, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. Orsha Dairy Plant OJSC has allocated Br12 billion for the reconstruction of the compressor shop, the enterprise informed a BELTA correspondent.

The project implementation is carried out in two phases. The first phase included the reconstruction of the compressor shop intended for cooling the cold storage rooms for finished products (butter and cheese). Modern equipment has been installed here, and advanced thermal insulation materials have been used. Thanks to this, the necessary conditions for long-term storage of butter and cheese have been created in the rooms. The launch is scheduled for September 1.

The second phase of the project involves decommissioning the second operating compressor unit, located in a separate shop and producing chilled water for the enterprise's technical needs. New equipment for these purposes will also be installed in the shop's premises for cooling the cold storage rooms. "This became possible due to the modernization carried out and the smaller dimensions of the equipment," specialists explained.

The second phase of the project is planned to be completed by the end of the current year. Equipment for producing chilled water has already been purchased, and the premises for its installation are being prepared.

The project implementation will allow the enterprise to phase out 4.7 tons of ammonia by using freon as a refrigerant, significantly increase energy efficiency, combine two compressor units in one building, which in the future allows for the use of the freed-up shop for expanding production capacity, as well as eliminate the need to rent warehouses for butter storage. The payback period of the project is 6.5 years.

In the first half of the year, the enterprise produced products worth Br92 billion, which is 146% of the same period in 2010. Exports increased by 70% to $15.7 million. Their share in the total sales volume was 70%. Supplies were made to Russia, Kazakhstan, Poland, Germany, and the Netherlands. The net profit of the plant amounted to Br6.5 billion, the energy saving indicator was minus 12.3% against the target of minus 12%. Investments for the first half of the year amounted to Br5.8 billion.

The enterprise was founded in 1939, reorganized into an open joint-stock company in 1996. In 2002, the Dubrovno dairy plant became part of it, since September 2008 - Sennensky, and in 2007 a workshop was commissioned in the urban settlement of Kopyś, Orsha district. The range includes about 80 types of products. The total number of employees is over 650 people.-0-
