Orsha district leads in yield in the Vitebsk region

Orsha district leads in grain yield in Vitebsk region, as reported by the committee for agriculture and food of the regional executive committee.

The region's grain growers have already threshed over 10% of the areas sown with grain and leguminous crops. More than 113 thousand tons of grain have been harvested with an average yield of 31.7 centners per hectare. Farmers in the Orsha district are harvesting the most from one hectare - 41.6 centners per hectare. The top four leaders also include Dubrovno district - 38.2 centners per hectare, Verkhnedvinsk district - 37.1 centners per hectare, and Vitebsk district - 35 centners per hectare. Beshenkovichi and Chashniki districts are showing high harvesting rates - here, machinery has already covered over 20% of the areas. The number of combines joining the harvest is growing every day. In total, over 90% of the machines are ready to go into the fields.
