Orsha district is confidently increasing its gross milk production
After the Vitebsk region, Orsha district ranks second in the region in terms of gross milk production.
At the "Brazdetchino" MTC alone, SGTS "Zadneprovsky" receives more than 13 tons of milk daily. All of it is of "extra" grade. According to Denis Provalinsky, head of the robotic dairy complex, some cows in lactation yield up to 37 liters, and a high-yielding cow produces 20-27 liters of milk daily.
The modern complex, where the process is managed by smart machines, was commissioned 5 years ago. Through trial and error, they reached a common denominator. The amount of milk has doubled since 2015. Improved feed quality has also contributed to this.
– Since last year, we have started crushing corn and preserving it in "sleeves," – says Irina Dudkina, chief zootechnician for cattle at the agricultural branch "SGTS "Zadneprovsky."
At the "Brazdetchino" MTC, computers are responsible for almost everything, including animal health. All data on a cow's well-being is read from an electronic chip on its neck and transmitted to the control room – the complex's command center.
– The human factor is excluded at the complex, – emphasizes Denis Provalinsky. – If an operator on a conventional farm can overlook something, a robot precisely performs the assigned tasks.
There are two robotic sections at the complex. One room is designed for newly calved cows, and the second section houses high-yielding cows. Four pushers, two mechatronics engineers, and two daytime livestock specialists work in one shift.
– We work three days on, one day off, – says mechatronics engineer Sergey Lyakhovich. – The salary is over a thousand rubles. I never dreamed of such work before – automation on all fronts.
Today, he is not a milking machine operator, but a mechatronics engineer – a previously unheard-of, but very prestigious specialty in the agro-industrial complex today.
Among the tasks of the SGTS "Zadneprovsky" are herd reproduction, improving the reproductive function of the breeding stock, and obtaining physiologically mature offspring. Hereditary calf breeder Marina Tereshenok states that much depends on the quality of care for young animals. The woman knows her stuff – 240 calves at the MTK "Brazdetchino" are provided with the most decent living conditions.
