The Orsha district sees development prospects in the creation of small enterprises
According to Sergey Pats, Orsha District has been systematically working on creating new enterprises, including those with foreign capital, in recent years. A Belarusian-Italian joint venture "Manuli Hydraulics Manufacturing Bel" for the production of high-pressure hoses, "LINPAK Packaging East" with English capital, and others have emerged.
"We understand that the focus should be on the development of small and medium-sized businesses, because private business reacts more flexibly to changes in the economy of Belarus and the world," said the first deputy chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee. "We see prospects in the creation of small enterprises - up to 100 people. Both foreign and Belarusian capital should be attracted to their creation. There are already developments: a Belarusian-Slovak enterprise was registered in April."
Currently, the district's development program until 2020 is being finalized, including prospects for the urban settlement of Bolbasovo and the city of Baran. The focus is on the development of industry and agriculture. The decree on the creation of integrated structures in the agro-industrial complex is being implemented.
In Orsha District, a number of enterprises are cooperating around the grain processing plant. This year, reorganization and integration of the dairy and meat canning plants, cheese factory, poultry farm, and agricultural organizations are taking place. "This will yield results," is convinced Sergey Pats. "Already, based on the results of the first quarter, the performance of the enterprises in the integrated structure is higher than that of industrial ones."
The development of the social sphere depends on budget revenues, so the main focus now is on enterprises in the real sector of the economy.
