The main fire investigation at the Rossonsk school will be ready in June
May 16, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. The main expert examination on the fire at the Rossonskaya school will be ready in June. This was announced today at a press conference by Vladimir Shalukhin, head of the Investigative Committee Department for the Vitebsk Region, in response to a question from a BELTA correspondent.
"As of today, no charges have been brought against anyone in this criminal case. More than 40 witnesses have been interviewed, and more than 30 expert examinations have been ordered. The most fundamentally important comprehensive fire and technical examination for us is not yet completed. Therefore, it is premature to talk about the causes of the fire," Vladimir Shalukhin said. He also stated that during the fire, violations of current legislation regarding evacuation rules and the storage of waste paper were committed. "All of this is now being assessed," the head of the department concluded.
A criminal case under Part 2 of Article 304 of the Criminal Code "Violation of fire safety rules" was initiated by the Investigative Committee Department for the Vitebsk Region on March 7 following a fire in the premises of the Rossonskaya Secondary School named after Masherov due to the ignition of waste paper stored there. As a result of the incident, eight students of this educational institution sustained bodily injuries of varying severity. -0-
