Stops in the form of giant numbers 101 and 112 will appear in Vitebsk
In Vitebsk, new public transport stops in the form of giant numbers 101 and 112 will be installed in July. The project of new art objects was presented today to journalists at a briefing on the eve of Fire Service Day, which is celebrated on July 25, by the head of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Sergey Meshkin.
Stops in the form of giant numbers will appear on trolleybus route No. 1 on B. Khmelnitsky Street - currently these are the stops "Victory Square" and "Polyclinic No. 4". Soon they will be renamed "Ministry of Emergency Situations Department", and instead of the usual benches with a roof, functional art objects will be installed there. These will be the numbers 101 and 112 with a roof. The entire structure will be over 3 m high and about 6 m long. No other Belarusian city can boast such projects yet.
"We are creating an art object that will constantly remind residents and guests of Vitebsk in a playful and attractive way of the numbers to call in case of danger. People will take pictures against the backdrop of the numbers, and this reminder will stay with them," noted Sergey Meshkin. According to him, the stops are being manufactured by the rescuers themselves at the production and technical center of the regional department. Wood for the structures was provided free of charge by foresters.
"We will try to install these stops before the opening of this year's "Slavianski Bazaar"," concluded the head of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
