The Holy Spirit Church is located in a reconstructed building on Chkalov Street. The former sports facility was transferred to the Roman Catholic Church in 2000. Since 2001, services have been held in a chapel built next to the building. Construction work on the site has been ongoing for over 10 years.
The Holy Spirit Church will be the third consecrated church of the Roman Catholic Church currently operating in Vitebsk. On October 10, 2009, the Church of Jesus the Merciful was consecrated. In 2011, the new church became the cathedral of Vitebsk. Until that time, the main Catholic church in Vitebsk was the Church of St. Barbara, built in 1785. In the early twenties of the last century, the church was closed. Services resumed after the restoration of the architectural monument in 1992.
The solemn service will begin at 11:00 AM.
