Domestic investor will breathe new life into the former recreation center of Vitebsk State University
A new tourist facility is planned to be created by a Vitebsk enterprise on the site of the unfinished former recreation center of Vitebsk State University named after P. Masherov in the Sennensky district. A domestic investor today acquired the unused real estate for Br624 million at an auction held by the Vitebsk Regional Property Fund, the fund reported.
The lot includes a three-story administrative and residential building (built in 1990) with an area of almost 2.1 thousand sq. m, a small unfinished building, as well as a land plot of about 0.3 hectares with a lease term of 50 years, located on the picturesque bank of Lake Streshno. The facility was sold at auction with an 80% reduction in the initial sale price, which amounted to over Br416 million. Two participants showed interest in the unused buildings, and the winner was determined at the sixth step. A representative of the new owner explained that a recreation center with the possibility of holding business and corporate events is planned to be created here. In addition, the bidding for two more lots was successful. An unused canteen building in the urban settlement of Begoml (Dokshitsky district) was sold for almost Br134 million to another domestic investor. He plans to create a roadside service facility based on the 120.7 sq. m building. The contenders for a cowshed in the Shumilinsky district traded most intensely.
The building with an area of over 1.7 thousand sq. m was sold for one basic unit (Br210 thousand) and attracted two participants. As a result, the winner was determined at almost the 50th step of the auctioneer, when the sale price exceeded the initial price by almost 280 times and amounted to Br58.6 million. The new owner of the cowshed is a peasant farm.
"Rodnik". Its head, Yury Semenov, clarified that the building will be used for the needs of the farm. In total, since the beginning of the year, about 20 properties have been sold at the auctions of "Vitebskoblimushchestvo" for a total amount of over Br13.5 billion.BELTA.
