The opening of the XXVI International Festival of Ancient and Modern Chamber Music will take place in Polotsk on April 5

Открытие XXVI Международного фестиваля старинной и современной камерной музыки состоится в Полоцке 5 апреля

This year, the creative forum, which will run until May 18, will be dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the concert hall of the Cathedral of Saint Sophia. Initially, the audience will traditionally meet with the symphony orchestra and the academic choir of the National State Television and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus. Leading soloists from Lithuania Raminta Vaicekauskaite, Algirdas Janutas, People's Artist of Lithuania Vladimir Prudnikov, as well as the famous Estonian conductor Erki Pehk will perform with them. Later, music lovers will appreciate the skill of performers from Russia, France, Israel, Argentina, and Cuba.

Diverse concerts will provide an opportunity to hear the sound of piano, organ, guitar, violin, and to take a fresh look at serious music together with the M.I. Glinka State String Quartet and Yuri Medyanik, who have prepared the program "Musicians are Smiling" for Polotsk residents and city guests. One of the memorable events of the festival also promises to be the gala concert of three baritones "Love is My Melody," which will reflect the classical and pop repertoire of Muslim Magomayev.
