The heating season has begun in the Vitebsk region, Deputy Head of the Housing and Communal Services Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Yuri Dyadelo told a BELTA correspondent. Heat is already supplied to preschool institutions and hospitals. In the coming days, heating will also be provided to residential buildings. More than Br30 billion was allocated for the preparation for the heating season in the Vitebsk region. A significant part of these funds was used to repair 412 boiler houses. All of them are ready to face the cold weather. In addition, boiler houses using local types of fuel (LTF) with mechanized loading have been launched in Gorodok and Tolochin. Furthermore, such facilities will be commissioned in October in Obol, Lepel, Luzhesno and Dubrovno, and in November - in Ushachi and Sharkovshchina. According to the latest data, 250 thousand cubic meters of firewood, 16 thousand cubic meters of wood chips, and 3.2 thousand tons of reserve fuel oil have been prepared for the autumn-winter period in the region. Stocks of local types of fuel will be replenished as they are consumed. Currently, the share of LTF in the fuel and energy balance of the Vitebsk region is 46.4%. -0-
