The Industry Laboratory of Glass and Fibrous Materials of BSTU was opened on the basis of JSC "Polotsk-Steklovolokno"

Deputy Chairman of the concern "Belneftekhim" Andrey Bunakov called this event an important step towards production, science, and education. He also emphasized that thanks to the opening of the Industry Laboratory, educational activities will improve, the quality of training of engineering personnel, as well as research, development, and experimental work will increase, and new products with unique properties will appear.

 

In the near future, the Deputy Chairman of the concern said, the results of this activity will be visible, which will be reflected in the improvement of glass quality, reduction of material and technical costs, and ensuring the environmental safety of fiberglass production.

Unique scientific equipment will allow analyzing the entire spectrum of the periodic table: from hydrogen to uranium, which will help realize the high potential of intellectual and educational activities of specialists in the chemical industry.

 

Guests of the grand opening visited the production workshops and the museum of JSC "Polotsk-Steklovolokno", and took part in the seminar "Development of resource- and energy-saving technological processes for the production of innovative types of products".
