Industry cooperation agreements were signed by trade unions of the Vitebsk and Pskov regions
In the Vitebsk Oblast Media Center, regional trade union organizations of healthcare workers and state institutions of the Vitebsk and Pskov regions signed cooperation agreements.
– This is another opportunity for interaction between the peoples of the Union State. Joint international work began more than 20 years ago. At that time, it was a trilateral agreement between the trade unions of the Vitebsk, Smolensk, and Pskov regions. Later, colleagues from the Novgorod Federation of Trade Unions joined us, – emphasized the Chairman of the Pskov Regional Trade Union Council, Igor Ivanov. – We have much in common. We see the results of joint work within the framework of the main function – protecting the rights and legitimate interests of workers, as well as in the areas of health improvement, labor protection, etc. There is also a special symbolism in the fact that the agreements were signed on the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.
The agreements concern various areas of work, including, for example, interaction of trade union activists, as well as exchange of work experience and implementation of joint initiatives.
– Working with youth is an important branch of the development of trade union associations. Therefore, it is necessary to give an additional impetus in this direction and hold joint events among youth councils, – noted Igor Ivanov.
The plans of the youth council of the Pskov Regional Trade Union Council include creating a "canvas of memory" of trade union leaders who fought on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War.
The Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Trade Union Association, Yuri Derkach, emphasized that these agreements will allow for closer interaction in all areas of activity, including expanding trade union practices, health improvement, labor protection, and will also strengthen social and economic ties.
