The responsibility of deputies in the Year of Entrepreneurship is increasing - Senator

April 27, Vitebsk / Sergei Kotovets - BELTA /. In the Year of Entrepreneurship, the role and responsibility of parliamentarians and local council deputies are increasing. This opinion was expressed to a BELTA correspondent by Elena Podolyak, Director of the Vitebsk Regional Philharmonic, member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly, and deputy of the regional council of deputies, commenting on the annual Address of the President to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly. The senator noted that in his address, the head of state once again confirmed Belarus's focus on becoming a state with a highly developed economy, safe and comfortable for living. That is why, in the future, the emphasis is placed on innovation, investment, and initiative. Undoubtedly, in such conditions, the role and responsibility of people's elected representatives significantly increase, as, on the one hand, they must create a legislative framework that meets modern requirements, and on the other hand, deputies are the link between the people and the authorities, so they must be at the forefront of supporting initiative citizens, Elena Podolyak is confident. "Only responsibility, discipline, hard work, and the consolidation of all forces will allow Belarus to overcome difficulties and solve the main task of improving the standard of living and well-being of Belarusians - this is the meaning of the President's Address," the senator emphasized. She also drew attention to the fact that this year the Address of the head of state was delivered between two tragic dates for the Belarusian people - April 11, when the explosion occurred in the Minsk metro, and April 26, the next anniversary of the Chernobyl NPP disaster. In her opinion, it is no coincidence that the Address, as a common thread, spoke about what is most important for people - life safety, and much attention was paid to the issue of national security, which is a multifaceted concept. "The head of state gave a convincing answer: live, work, and may Belarusian families grow with children," Elena Podolyak summarized. -0-
