Vegetable growers of "Rudakovo" in the Vitebsk region will harvest the second crop of cucumbers until November 1

The vegetable growers of the UP "Rudakovo" greenhouse complex in the Vitebsk region are ensuring that vitamin-rich produce is available to consumers all year round. Over 9 months, 4.2 thousand tons of cucumbers and 4.7 thousand tons of tomatoes have been sent for sale.

From the second growing cycle of short-fruited cucumber varieties "burn" and "spina," as emphasized by Raisa Krupаtina, the head of the greenhouse complex, vegetable growers are harvesting no less fruit than in the first cycle with varieties "yani" and "mogura." Fruiting will continue until November 1st. Then there will be a short break to prepare for the new season.

The time-tested tomato variety "altadena" also yields a high harvest. From each plant, and the vine reaches more than ten meters in length per season, vegetable growers harvest at least 20 kg of tomatoes, and from each square meter – 55 kg. But, as Raisa Krupаtina assured, at the end of the season – in the first decade of November – this figure will increase to 60 – 62 kg. The majority of the produce is sold to Belarusian consumers, with about 30% going for export to Russia.
