The "Plissa" health resort opened in the Glubokoye district

Оздоровительный комплекс \"Плисса\" открылся в Глубокском районе

The "Plissa" health resort complex (a branch of the production and construction closed joint-stock company "Treст Промстрой") has opened in the Glubokoye district of the Vitebsk region. The opening ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, Vladimir Andreichenko, and the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev.

The sanatorium is built on the territory of a former military unit in a forest area along the northern shore of the picturesque Plissa Lake. The complex covers an area of 20.5 hectares and includes facilities for health improvement and recreation, which can accommodate over 400 visitors simultaneously. On average, up to 6,000 people will be able to rest and improve their health here annually.

It is noteworthy that the main building of "Plissa" resembles the ancient Belarusian relic, the Cross of Euphrosyne of Polotsk, in its shape. This effect was achieved by constructing the building from three sections (3- and 5-story) connected by heated galleries on the second floor.

The complex is divided into several functional zones: for long-term and short-term stays, a historical and ethnographic zone, a subsidiary farm, a utility zone, and the water area of Lake Plissa.

The main zone for long-term stays is intended for health improvement and recreation of individuals arriving on vouchers for 12, 18, and 21-day periods. For accommodation, there is a residential building with 164 rooms, as well as a complex of 1- and 2-story buildings.

(detached and block-type) guest houses of cottage type for 84 places. Among other things, an amphitheater for 150 seats with a covered stage has been built on the territory of "Plissa", a recreation area for the simultaneous stay of 150 people, there are sports halls for team sports, a swimming pool and a guest parking for 120 cars. The landscape design is done in such a way that several recreation areas are located here, equipped with gazebos, fountains and sculptural compositions.

Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly Vladimir Andreichenko noted that "Plissa" is equipped with modern medical and sports equipment, and highly qualified personnel have been selected here. All this, combined with mineral water, sapropel mud, beautiful natural landscapes and clean air, will maximally contribute to the recovery of people.

"The builders have brought to life an interesting architectural project that has adorned not only the Glubokoye land, but also the Vitebsk region as a whole. I am sure that the activities of the complex will have a positive impact on the development of this territory, and this is exactly what the country needs now," said Vladimir Andreichenko. - About 200 new jobs have been created here, and about Br300 billion (undernominated rubles) have been invested in construction. And with proper organization of work, there will be a solid inflow of funds into the district budget."

The sanatorium-resort complex "Plissa" is an example of how modern treatment and recovery should be combined with the unique nature of the Vitebsk region. This opinion was shared by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Nikolai Sherstnev.

"We have about 2 thousand lakes in the Vitebsk region, but only a small part of them are used for the health improvement of the population. The sanatorium "Plissa" in the Glubokoye district is

This is a prime example of how the unique nature of the Vitebsk region can be combined with modern treatment and wellness practices. It is a wonderful complex. I believe there is nothing comparable in the republic at the moment. All the best and most advanced wellness technologies have been gathered here. It is very pleasing that such a facility has been created precisely here, on the Vitebsk land," noted the head of the region. He emphasized that the wellness center is also important for the district as it has created about 200 new jobs.
