A bridge has been built near Miory to make traffic safer

In the Miory region, a concrete bridge over the Volta River in the village of Putsinovo was solemnly commissioned, the repair of which local residents had petitioned for through various instances. For them, and even more so for drivers of heavy trucks and buses, crossing to the other side of the river was always risky.

It took bridge builders from Lepel DRBU-202 six months not just to repair, but to completely rebuild the above-water structure, which cost over 8 million rubles. Working extended hours, without holidays or weekends, they strived to expedite the completion date. Road workers from the Miory branch assisted them in this endeavor.

Vladimir Matveev, General Director of "Vitebskavtodorstroy," thanked the district leadership for their support and organization of the necessary measures, and the team of Lepel professionals for their high-quality and prompt work. The new bridge will contribute to the dynamic development of the Miory region.

The bridge in Putsinovo is one of those reconstructed within the framework of the road network development program for the Vitebsk region in 2017. In addition to it, Lepel bridge builders commissioned a similar one in Braslav and recently began work in Rossony.

Local roads require increased attention, emphasized Vladimir Matveev. This year, almost 3 km have been repaired in the Miory region, and 15 km are planned for next year. According to the State Program, these include the access road to the district center, the southern bypass of Miory, the roads Apanasenki – Luzhki – Gvazdovo, Druya – Miory, Tychki – Perebrodye. However, within three years, other directions, even small rural roads, will also be covered.
