The monument to Alexander Nevsky and his family was solemnly opened in Vitebsk
On June 24, the grand opening of the monument to Alexander Nevsky with his wife (a princess of Vitebsk) and son Vasily took place in Vitebsk. The bronze sculpture is installed on Millennium Square, near the wooden Church of Alexander Nevsky. The composition, weighing 6 tons, depicts the princely couple, their hands joined one over the other, and their son is sitting on Alexander Nevsky's arm.
