The opening of the renovated park will be timed to coincide with May 9. On the eve of the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Great Victory, Post No. 1 will be resumed in Vitebsk. An honor guard of young cadets and pioneers will stand at the renovated monument on Victory Square.
On the eve of the holiday, on behalf of the governor, along with financial assistance that will be provided to veterans of the Great Patriotic War from the republican budget, the regional budget will also allocate funds for gifts to veterans. During the first half of April, the housing conditions of veterans will be inspected and, if necessary, housing repairs will be carried out.
