A batch of pyrotechnics worth Br22.5 million confiscated from a Vitebsk resident

December 28, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. A large batch of pyrotechnic products has been confiscated from a Vitebsk resident, the BELTA correspondent was informed by the information and public relations department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Department. Law enforcement officers and the tax inspectorate detained a Ford Transit vehicle driven by a 51-year-old director of a private unitary enterprise on the road near the village of Zheleznyaki, Vitebsk district. During the inspection of the vehicle, 32,000 units of pyrotechnic products worth Br22.5 million were discovered. An administrative protocol has been drawn up against the Vitebsk resident under Article 12.17, Part 4 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus. The illegal goods have been seized. In total, on the eve of the New Year holidays, as of December 28, law enforcement officers in the region have seized 34,000 units of pyrotechnic products.-0-
