A patriotic motor rally will be held in the Vitebsk region
The participants of the rally will start from Builders' Square in Novopolotsk. Then they will proceed to Verkhnedvinsk, Miory, Sharkovshchina, Glubokoye, Vetrino. The motor rally will conclude in Polotsk near the monument to the Liberators of the city. The route length will be over 240 km.
The motor rally is an initiative of concerned residents of neighboring cities, Polotsk and Novopolotsk. Representatives of youth, veteran organizations and the public association "Belaya Rus" came up with the proposal to hold it. A total of about 100 people are expected to participate in the motor rally.
This is a debut event for the region, and its program will be concise. Participants of the rally will visit burial sites - mass graves of fallen soldiers of the Great Patriotic War. Flowers will be laid at the monuments. Along the entire route, participants of the motorcade will meet with leaders of public associations of district centers and settlements where they will make stops. Representatives of district organizations of the public association "Belaya Rus", the public association "BRSM", trade unions and veteran organizations intend to join the motorcade.
"One can say that this is a people's motor rally, which will be organized thanks to civil initiative," noted Nikolai Romanovsky. "For the participants, this is an opportunity to visit the sights of the districts of our region, to see the beauty of their native land, to change the usual route 'home - work' and to communicate with like-minded people."
