A pensioner from Polotsk suffered severe burns while turning on a gas stove

A pensioner from Polotsk sustained severe burns as a result of a gas-air mixture explosion. The accident occurred early in the morning on May 27. The 75-year-old homeowner wanted to turn on the stove (bottled gas is used in the house). A gas-air mixture explosion occurred.

The woman suffered first- and second-degree burns on 50% of her body; her back, legs, and arms were affected. The house sustained damage to window frames, glazing, the gas stove, and the ceiling finish.

The enterprise "Polotskgas" is investigating the cause of the explosion.
