Pensioners in Belarus will receive a 50% discount on travel on regional economy class trains from May 1st

Pensioners in Belarus are offered a 50% discount on regional economy class trains from May 1 to September 30, as reported by the press center of Belarusian Railways.

Pensioners in Belarus are offered a 50% discount on regional economy class trains from May 1 to September 30, BELTA was informed by the press center of Belarusian Railways.

The right to receive the discount is stipulated by Decree No. 176 of April 29, 2011 "On State Support for Pensioners". However, the document does not provide for a travel discount on regional business class electric trains (with numbered seats). Also, the 50% discount does not apply to city line trains.

The press center of Belarusian Railways reminded that passengers need to present original pension certificates to purchase discounted travel documents.
