Perebrodsky village executive committee of Miory district will receive financial support within the framework of the EU and UNDP project

June 22, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The Perebrodskoye rural executive committee of the Miory district will receive financial support within the framework of the joint project of the European Union and the United Nations Development Programme "Sustainable Development at the Local Level," the chairman of the rural executive committee Viktor Derevyanchik told a BELTA correspondent. The initiative of the rural executive committee to create a fishing museum on the Green Route from Polotsk to Braslav was approved by the competition commission for the selection of initiatives in the field of sustainable development at the local level. Now the rural executive committee has begun the procedure for transferring an unused building for the museum and plans to start repairs and exhibition design in August. According to Viktor Derevyanchik, the idea of creating an eco-museum arose not by chance, as Perebrodye has always been famous for its fishermen and rich catches. The water wealth is even reflected on the coat of arms of this village - the only one in the region with its own heraldic symbols. The exhibition will feature fishing gear that has been used by Belarusians since ancient times, and stuffed animals from local lakes and rivers. It is possible that in the future, museum visitors will have the opportunity to catch live specimens using old tackle. As the interlocutor noted, the creation of the museum is a continuation of the cooperation between the rural executive committee and the founders of European grants. The first successful experience was the commissioning of an energy-efficient boiler house at the "Rosinka" children's sanatorium, where the Perebrodskoye rural executive committee also acted as the initiator of the project and the administrator of funds. -0-
