The list of goods for preferential consumer lending has been approved in Belarus

August 6, Minsk / Milena Anufrienok - BELTA /. The Belarusian government has approved a list of goods for the purchase of which low-income citizens will be provided with preferential loans. The corresponding decision is contained in the Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 1010, the BELTA correspondent was informed at the Council of Ministers' Office. The document was adopted to implement Decree No. 371 "On Preferential Consumer Lending" dated July 6, 2009. The list of goods for the purchase of which low-income citizens will be able to use preferential loans includes a wide range of domestic products. In particular, these are household appliances: televisions, DVD players manufactured by OJSC "Horizont" and RUPP "Vityaz", vacuum cleaners and microwave ovens ("Horizont", SOOO "Midea-Horizont", "Vityaz"), monitors (NPO "Integral" and "Horizont"), refrigerators and freezers (ZAO "Atlant"), electric and gas stoves (open joint-stock companies SP "Brestgazoapparat", "Brest Radio Plant", "Elektroapparatura" (Gomel), RUP "Gomel Radio Plant named after the 60th anniversary of the USSR"). Washing machines (ZAO "Atlant", OJSC "Minsk Plant "Thermoplast", RUP "Gomel Machine-Tool Plant named after S.M. Kirov"), kitchen machines (open joint-stock companies "Minsk Plant "Thermoplast", "Minsk Instrument-Making Plant", "Torgmash" (Baranovichi), "Ekran" (Borisov)) can also be purchased with preferential loans. The list also includes Belarusian-made heating boilers and electric water heaters. Preferential lending is also provided for the sale of carpets and carpet products manufactured by open joint-stock companies "Vitebskiye Kovry" and "Kovry Bresta", as well as domestic furniture and woodworking machines. In addition, low-income citizens will be able to use preferential loans when purchasing equipment: mini-tractors manufactured by Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Assemblies and Smorgon Aggregate Plant, mopeds and motorcycles (OJSC "Motovelo"), walk-behind tractors (RUP "Smorgon Aggregate Plant"), trailers (OOO "Plant of Automotive Trailers and Bodies "Maz-Kupava", OJSC "Bobruiskagromash", OJSC "Bobruisk selmash", OJSC "Spetsavtotekhnika" (Bobruisk), RUP "Smorgon Aggregate Plant", RUPP "Belarusian Automobile Plant"). In accordance with Decree No. 371 "On Preferential Consumer Lending", low-income citizens in Belarus will be provided with loans for up to three years in 2009-2010 with an interest rate of 10% per annum for consumer needs to purchase non-food durable goods. Belarusbank, Belagroprombank, Belinvestbank, and Belpromstroybank are entrusted with the functions of issuing such loans. The right to receive preferential consumer loans will be granted to citizens whose average monthly total income per family member, calculated for the three months preceding the month of concluding the loan agreement, does not exceed three times the average monthly per capita minimum consumer budget of a family of four (currently Br1,163.8 thousand). -0-
