Mobile drug testing centers in the Vitebsk region have detected over 90 people at their workplaces under the influence of alcohol since the beginning of the year

June 23, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Mobile narcological centers in the Vitebsk region identified over 90 people who were at work or driving under the influence of alcohol in January-May. This was announced today at a press conference dedicated to the republican campaign "Belarus Against Alcohol and Drugs" by the chief physician of the Vitebsk Regional Psychoneurological Dispensary, Elena Martynova, BELTA correspondent reports. In total, 242 trips were made during this period, during which almost 2.8 thousand people were examined. Last year, there were 367 trips, over 4 thousand people were examined, of whom 82 were found to be intoxicated. Mobile narcological centers have been created and operate in all regions of the Vitebsk region. Their work helps to monitor the condition of workers in production and drivers on the roads of the region. "In addition, this has proven to be a sufficiently effective measure for disciplining the population. Thus, the creation of these units has fully justified itself, and therefore this service will be improved and developed," Elena Martynova emphasized. -0-
