The first crew in the republic to reach three thousand [units] appeared in the Vitebsk region

Першы ў рэспубліцы экiпаж-трохтысячнiк з'явіўся на Віцебшчыне
The evening of August 9th in the dispatch office of the agricultural production branch "Zaazerye" (Lepel district) of JSC "Vitebsk Meat Packing Plant" was very tense, with every piece of news from the grain dryer being awaited and double-checked: the crew of Leonid Alexeenko and Pavel Khaniok was about to reach the mark of three thousand tons of threshed grain.

On the one hand, everyone from the director to the dispatcher was convinced that the next work milestone would be reached. The intrigue lay elsewhere: whether the crew would be able to retain their leading position in the region, won earlier, or if their fellow combine operators from Orsha, Senno, and Tolochin districts, who have long been rightfully considered the breadbasket of the Vitebsk region, would manage to overtake them. And when the message "3000 tons achieved!" arrived, everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

No less tension was felt in the dispatch office of the integrated structure based at JSC "Vitebsk Meat Packing Plant". Significant funds have been invested in agricultural production over two years – and here is the result, a harvest that fills the grain dryers and granaries.

As soon as the information was received, it was immediately sent to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. There, it was verified, and it turned out that the crew of Leonid Alexeenko and Pavel Khaniok was the first in the republic to reach the threshing of three thousand tons of grain! The closest competitors are lagging behind by literally two hours.

The next day, a representative delegation led by the General Director of Vitebsk Meat Packing Plant, Viktor Poznyak, arrived at the field near the village of Matyushino Stena to congratulate the frontrunners. The combine was harvesting spring wheat of the "Vasilisa" variety, with the computer showing a yield of about 34-38 centners per hectare.

The guests congratulated the frontrunners and presented them with gifts. Everyone wished them not to stop at what they had achieved, but to conquer new heights of four, five thousand tons.
