The first district dental clinic will open at the end of September in the Vitebsk region, the deputy head of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's healthcare department, Andrei Andryushkin, told a BELTA correspondent. The pioneer will be the Gluboksky district. It is here that the only district dental clinic in the region so far will soon begin to function. Before that, residents of the region could use the services of only one regional, four city dental clinics - in Vitebsk, Orsha, Novopolotsk and Polotsk - and one children's dental clinic, or visit dental offices at central district hospitals and medical outpatient clinics. The district dental clinic will provide therapeutic, surgical, and prosthodontic care. Its capacity is designed for approximately 400 visits per shift. Br1.5 billion has been allocated from local budgets for the reconstruction of the building and the purchase of equipment. As Andrei Andryushkin emphasized, the opening of the new clinic will enable residents of nearby districts to receive modern, qualified dental care.
