Belarus's first mobile gas station to launch by mid-summer
May 20, Minsk / Anna Kot - BELTA /. The first mobile gas station in Belarus is expected to start operating by mid-summer after certification is completed, BELTA was informed by RUP "Belorusneft-Vitebskobleneftoprodukt". It is planned that the gas station will start its work in the Senno district of the Vitebsk region.
The mobile gas station was designed and implemented by RUP "Belorusneft-Vitebskobleneftoprodukt" by order of the head of state. It consists of three tanks of 5 cubic meters of fuel each, on a MAZ-MAN chassis. The station is served by an operator-driver. The mobile gas station operates without an external power source, it is automated, equipped with a computer, and has the ability to communicate with the base, as well as an emergency button to call the police.
The gas station will offer drivers three types of petroleum products for cashless and cash payments: 80-octane, 92-octane gasoline, and diesel fuel. Importantly, their cost will not differ from the prices at stationary gas stations. Thus, the company will bear the costs of delivering petroleum products.
The station is designed for rural car enthusiasts living more than 30 km away from stationary gas stations. This mobile innovation will enable RUP "Belorusneft-Vitebskobleneftoprodukt" to visit such settlements and agro-towns according to a schedule agreed with the rural councils. The station will operate on the principle of a mobile shop and will be able to serve everyone.
The decision on how many mobile gas stations will appear in Belarus in the future will be made by the production association "Belorusneft" based on economic feasibility, after the first station has been tested in practice.
RUP "Belorusneft-Vitebskobleneftoprodukt" is part of the structure of the production association "Belorusneft", which is engaged in the search, exploration and development of oil fields, drilling of wells, and production of oil and associated petroleum gas. -0-
