The first banner in the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus will appear in a military unit in Polotsk

For the first time, a military unit of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus will be presented with a spiritual banner - a banner. This honor has been awarded to military unit 5530, which is stationed in Polotsk, as reported to BELTA correspondent by the deputy commander of the unit for ideological work, Sergey Kozak. The presentation of the banner with the image of the Mother of God will take place in Polotsk on March 16, on the eve of the Day of Internal Troops. From this moment on, the spiritual banner will accompany the soldiers during the most significant events, for example, during the taking of the oath, on holidays and memorable dates. The main purpose of the banner is the spiritual support of military personnel. Units and formations of the Polotsk garrison will take part in the solemn ceremony in Polotsk. Two of them will stand under their spiritual banners - a border guard unit and a detachment of Polotsk cadets. Together with the soldiers and priests on this memorable day for the military unit, there will also be secular authorities of the city. The agreement on cooperation between the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and the Belarusian Orthodox Church, concluded in May 1998, has largely contributed to the unification of efforts in the moral and patriotic education of the defenders of the Fatherland. -0-
