The first educational and production association for training young journalists has been established in the Vitebsk region

January 4, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The first educational and production association for training young journalists in the Vitebsk region has been established at the regional newspaper "Vitsiebski Rabochy". An agreement on this was signed between the editorial office of the publication and Vitebsk State University, as reported to a BELTA correspondent by Elena Begunova, the editor-in-chief of "Vitsiebski Rabochy". The philological faculty of the university, which trains students in the specialty "literary work in newspapers and magazines," has become a partner of the regional newspaper. Thanks to the cooperation between the university and the editorial office, future journalists will have the opportunity to learn the basics of newspaper work from their first year - from proofreading and layout to preparing reports and articles. According to Elena Begunova, in the near future, the newspaper plans to create a youth editorial office and publish special issues of the newspaper with the help of novice journalists. The editor-in-chief believes that the establishment of the educational and production association will contribute to higher practical training of specialists and help fill the shortage of journalistic staff for the region's publications. -0-
