The first implementation site for the project "Vitebsk and Pskov: Twin Cities" was Secondary School No. 21 in Vitebsk.
The friendship between Vitebsk and Pskov encompasses a wide range of cooperation.
Recently, Pskov schoolchildren paid a friendly visit to Secondary School No. 21, which hosts the UNESCO club "Pride". In February, its members, along with volunteers, began implementing the project "Vitebsk and Pskov: Twin Cities".
- The first stage of the partnership involved an exchange of emails with schools in Russian twin cities and partners of Vitebsk. - says the club curator Elena Kutovskaya. - Students from Pskov Secondary School No. 24 named after L.M. Smolyakov were the first to respond. The children quickly got acquainted through social networks. The culmination of their communication was the real-life visit of their virtual friends. 20 schoolchildren from Pskov learned about the educational and creative activities of our students. The meeting program was rich, including a concert, training games, but the guests were particularly impressed by the excursions around Vitebsk. In September, we plan to take up the offer to pay a return visit. In the future, members of the "Pride" club intend to establish communication with representatives of educational institutions in other cities, including Europe and China, with which Vitebsk has friendly relations.
