The first samples of new MTZ winter equipment will be tested in the Vitebsk region
The development of snow groomers and ice resurfacers based on tractors was launched at MTZ after the April meeting on the development of winter sports. Instead of the initially agreed two machines, the enterprise produced four models: three models of snow groomers and one ice resurfacer. In mid-September, the new products were presented to Alexander Lukashenko. Taking into account the comments, the equipment was finalized and demonstrated to specialists and the press in Raubichi in December. In the current year, the new products from MTZ are to continue their career in Vitebsk.
— Vladimir Korobkin, Chief Designer for MTZ-HOLDING equipment, informed: — Appropriate agreements have been concluded with organizations in the regional center for all machines. In particular, the MSU-622 snow groomer will be transferred to the Vitebsk State College of the Olympic Reserve, the ML-428 ice resurfacer to the Vitebsk City Sports Club, and the KL-408 ice resurfacing machine to the Vitebsk Hockey Club "Vitebsk". The issue of concluding an agreement for the transfer of the MSU-108 snowcat to one of the republican regional centers is currently being worked out.
The Chief Designer added that all new MTZ equipment has proven itself very well in Raubichi. For example, the operation of the powerful wheeled MSU-2022 machine did not raise any comments. Similar feedback was received regarding the MSU-108 on a tracked chassis. Minor comments were made on the MSU-622 and ML-428, but they have already been eliminated.
According to V. Korobkin, based on the results of trial operation, specialists from the Minsk Tractor Works intend to finalize the technical documentation, and the entire testing cycle is planned to be carried out.
