The first three crews of thousand-plus combine harvester operators appeared in the Vitebsk region
All leading harvesters are working in the fields of the Orsha district, with two crews harvesting at one farm - the communal unitary enterprise "Agricultural Experimental Station "Ustyie", as reported by the regional committee of the Agro-Industrial Complex Workers' Union. Here, the crew of combine operator brothers Oleg and Mikhail Kiselev, and the youth crew consisting of Sergey Spotkay and Dmitry Batyukov, have surpassed the thousand-mark.
A third crew of leading workers is harvesting grain at OJSC "Mayak Vysokoye". Here, the thousand-ton threshing mark was overcome by a family crew consisting of father and son, Anatoly and Andrey Marshalov.
All three crews are harvesting using KZS-1218 combines.
It is also noteworthy that SPC "Larinovka" of the same Orsha district demonstrates the highest yield for the region - the farm's grain growers are threshing 65.5 centners of grain per hectare. Overall in the district, the yield of grain crops is 39.1 c/ha, with almost 40% of the areas threshed, and the gross grain harvest in the district amounted to about 50 thousand tons.
According to operational data from the regional agricultural sales department, 26.7% of the grain fields have been harvested in the Vitebsk region, with 322.5 thousand tons of grain threshed at a yield of 32 c/ha (last year on this date it was 29.9 c/ha). The region's agrarians are increasing the pace of harvesting daily - it is planned to harvest up to 5% of the areas today.
