Первый детский дом семейного типа открылся в Шарковщинском районе

The first family-type children's home has opened in the Sharkovshchina district, as reported by Nikolai Rubatsky, head of the education, sports, and tourism department of the Sharkovshchina District Executive Committee.

The housewarming took place on Yubileinaya Street, in the district center itself. The house was built at the end of last year, but for the opening of this socially significant facility, it was necessary to find, firstly, foster parents, and secondly, funds to complete the landscaping. "Our Capital Construction Department acted as the client for the work, and the house was erected by the construction organization 'Sharkovshchina PMK-68' using funds from the republican and regional budgets, which allocated Br1.11 billion and Br836 million respectively. To complete the interior, funds were raised collectively. Agricultural enterprises, organizations, individual entrepreneurs, and educational institutions all contributed money, furniture, and equipment. There are still some funds left, which we plan to use to purchase necessary household inventory for the family," explained Nikolai Rubatsky.

In addition, Ivan Vozmitel, chairman of the regional trade union association, who was present at the grand opening ceremony, presented the new residents with a refrigerator passport. For now, two foster children will live and be raised in the house "under the wing" of Sofya Voshtayonok, who also has two biological children – one is already studying in college, and the second is in the 11th grade. "I must admit, this kind-hearted woman with a psychological and pedagogical education worked in my department. She has been raising a foster girl for about 10 years. When the search for a family to move in began, she accepted my proposal and decided to become a mother to another child. The adoption procedure is currently being finalized," added Nikolai Rubatsky.

He noted that the family-type children's home is designed for 5 children, and in the future, new children will appear here. As the interlocutor admitted, his dream is to bring orphans from the Sharkovshchyna district under this roof, who by the will of fate have been scattered across orphanages in other cities. In addition, as of today, 20 children are being raised in 19 foster families and 10 children in 9 adoptive families in the district. In total, 28 family-type children's homes have been opened in the Vitebsk region, and 2 more are to appear by the end of the current year. In the future, it is planned to build at least two such facilities annually.
