The first family-type children's home will appear in the Polotsk district

The first family-type children's home in the Polotsk district will open in October in the agro-town of Zhernoseki, the press service of the Polotsk District Executive Committee reported.

Nine children left without parental care will be raised in the family. Candidates for the role of foster parents have already been identified – the family that will become the "pioneer" of the social project in the district.

The house was built by specialists of the enterprise "Polotsk Construction Mobile Mechanized Column - 36" with funds from the investor – CJSC "VTB Bank". The interior of the building is currently being equipped, and the adjacent territory is being landscaped. More than Br2.4 billion has been invested in the construction of the family-type children's home.

In total, about 400 orphans and children left without parental care in Polotsk and the Polotsk district are under various forms of state care (guardianship and foster families, children's boarding institutions).
