The first four-thousandth crew appeared in the Vitebsk region
The first to thresh 4 thousand tons in the Lepel district was a team consisting of senior combine operator Leonid Alekseenko and his assistant Pavel Khonyak. This same team was the first in the region to overcome the 3 thousand ton mark. The honoring of the leaders will take place today with the participation of representatives of the local authorities and the enterprise management. Now, the crew's goal is 5 thousand tons.
Currently, 90 thousand-tonner crews are working in the fields of the region, six of which have threshed 2 thousand tons of grain each. A three-thousand-tonner crew is harvesting crops in the fields of the Orsha district, gradually approaching the 4 thousand ton mark. As of the morning of August 21, 87.1% of all areas have been harvested in the Vitebsk region. 697 thousand tons of grain have been threshed with an average yield of 25.6 centners per hectare. The highest yields are in the farms of Polotsk (32.4 centners/ha), Vitebsk (32 centners/ha), Orsha (31.9 centners/ha), and Verkhnedvinsk districts (30.2 centners/ha).
Among the leaders of the harvest in the region are the Gluboksky (98.7% of areas harvested), Postavy (94.6%), and Polotsk (92%) districts. Harvesting of grain crops in these regions is planned for the coming days. Farmers hope that the weather will not make any adjustments to their plans.
