The first paramedic and obstetric station built from environmentally friendly materials has opened in the Lepel district

The first eco-FAP in the Vitebsk region was opened on October 7 in the Lepel district, in the village of Stary Lepel. The unusual paramedic and obstetric station is built from local environmentally friendly materials.

The supporting structure is made of wood. The walls are filled with a mixture of clay, water, and wood chips, and are insulated from the outside with reed boards 10 cm thick. The roof slab is insulated with the same insulating material, and the roofing is made of metal tiles.

The project was implemented through the joint efforts of the International Non-Governmental Organization "EcoDom" and the Lepel District Executive Committee in cooperation with the German organizations Rotary Deutschland Gemeindienst e.V. and Heim-statt Tschernobyl e.V., the GEF Small Grants Programme of the UNDP, with the support of the Department for Humanitarian Activities of the Office of the President of the Republic of Belarus.
