The first youth crew of thousand-ton combine harvesters appeared in the Vitebsk region

Young combine operators from OAO "Agrokombinat "Yubileiny" of Orsha district were the first in the region among youth crews to thresh a thousand tons of grain, the regional committee of the agro-industrial complex workers' union informed a BELTA correspondent. The crew consisting of Alexey Palchevsky and Igor Klimenko mowed over 300 hectares and threshed more than 1.1 thousand tons. Thus, the Orsha residents became the first winners of the regional operational competition among young participants (under 31 years old) of the harvesting campaign, announced by the youth department of the regional executive committee and the regional committee of the agro-industrial complex workers' union. They will be awarded diplomas and valuable gifts. In total, eight crews in the region have already surpassed the mark of 1 thousand tons of grain threshed, including 5 crews working in farms of Orsha district. In addition, today in the district, combine operator Nikolay Zakharenko from SPK "Larinovka" will be honored. He was the first in the region to thresh 1.5 thousand tons. According to the terms of the operational competition, conducted by the committee for agriculture of the regional executive committee and the regional committee of the agro-industrial complex workers' unions, the leader of the harvest will be awarded a diploma and a bonus of 8 basic units. According to data as of August 3, grain and leguminous crops have been mowed in the region over an area of 257.5 thousand hectares, which is 57.2% of the plan. Almost 592 thousand tons of grain have been threshed with an average yield of 23 centners per hectare. The highest harvesting rates were achieved in Liozno (over 75.6% of the grain field mowed) and Senno (70.2%) districts. In terms of threshing, the traditional leaders in the region are farms of Orsha district, which have already contributed over 77.6 thousand tons of grain to the regional harvest, with an average yield of 31.2 centners per hectare. In addition, in Senno district today, SPK "Ulyanovichi" will be honored, which was the first in the district to complete the harvesting campaign. In total, the farm harvested about 1.1 thousand hectares, threshed over 1.9 thousand tons of grain with an average yield of 17.8 centners per hectare. -0-
