The first agro-tourism resort in Belarus will soon appear in the Rossony district

June 12, Minsk /Corr. BELTA/. The first agro-tourism resort in Belarus will soon appear in the Rossony district. This was announced in an interview with a BELTA correspondent by Deputy Minister of Sports and Tourism of Belarus Cheslav Shulga. According to him, the location was not chosen by chance: there are quite a lot of agro-estates in the Rossony district, and many of their owners are pioneers in this field. "This will be a kind of pilot project, it will show how promising the idea of creating agro-tourism resorts in Belarus is," the interlocutor noted. The agro-tourism resort will unite several rural estates. Moreover, the resort will be managed by a local operator, who will represent the interests of the agro-estate owners and be responsible for finding and attracting tourists. It is assumed that at the agro-tourism resort, vacationers will be offered a program of activities that will allow them to immerse themselves in rural life for at least seven days. For example, tourists may be offered to participate in the district mushroom picking championship, a wood carving and painting competition, or visit Polotsk. According to the deputy minister, rural tourism is an investment in the future. Therefore, the creation and development of agro-tourism resorts will be one of the most important areas of tourism development in the next five years, Cheslav Shulga noted. ***The full text of the interview will be released on the news feed and posted on the BELTA website.-0-
