The first specialized law class in Belarus will open at a gymnasium in Vitebsk
— We have been cooperating with educational institutions for several years. Practical classes for students of VSU named after P. Masherov and PSU are held at the department, assistance is provided to teachers, and close ties have been established with the Vitebsk Cadet School, — noted Vladimir Vasilievich. — The opening of a specialized class in a secondary educational institution has become a logical continuation of career guidance activities and legal education of youth.
Children will study English and social studies at an advanced level, and during elective classes, representatives of the Investigative Committee Department will explain the basics of civil, administrative, and criminal law, criminology, and forensic science to high school students.
— This will help the children not only to choose a legal profession but also to acquire knowledge that will be useful in life, teach them to be law-abiding and responsible for their actions, — said Director of Gymnasium No. 8 Raisa Grabovskaya.
By the beginning of the new academic year, the gymnasium plans to enroll at least 25 students in the new specialized 10th grade. Despite the strict requirements (preference is given to excellent students and winners of social studies Olympiads), the first ten students were recruited literally in the first days after the start of the selection campaign. By the way, students from other schools can also participate in it.
