The first student IT squad in Belarus has been created in the Vitebsk region

The first student IT squad in Belarus has been created in the Vitebsk region, as reported by the regional committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM).

The squad, named Reweb, is formed by 7 people – students of the Vitebsk State Technological University and the P. Masherov Vitebsk State University, as well as students of the Vitebsk State Polytechnic College.

"Each of the guys underwent selection back in February. For example, the squad leader is one of the authors of the Yotravels internet service project for the "100 Ideas for Belarus" competition – a student of VSTU, Matvey Matveev.

Now, he and the other guys will form a team of programmers, web designers, a marketer, and a manager who will remotely complete project tasks for the employer – the company "TiAiTi plus," which has become our partner," explained the BRSM regional committee. The first trial month of work starts on May 2. As noted by the director of "TiAiTi plus," Maxim Volkov, he came up with the idea to involve active and promising youth after serving as an expert at the "100 Ideas for Belarus" competition.

"I saw that there are many talented guys who want to work. And in our field, there is a shortage of personnel who strive to be creative and not just sit on a salary. This is how the project to create not just a student squad, but, in the future, an independent organization, emerged. Initially, they will be employed on a quarter-time basis and work under our supervision as a web studio – engaged in the creation, support, and promotion of websites. We expect that by the end of the month, their projects will become profitable. But in the future, the idea of creating our own product, which we will promote, is not ruled out," concluded Maxim Volkov.
